RoundTrip, a new ride-matching program, will replace Rideshare Etc. and will offer more services focused on Madison-area commuters, according to a release from the program. RoundTrip is a free program that connects Madison-area individuals and employers with affordable and sustainable transportation options. Users can create an online account and search for other carpoolers, state vanpools, bike buddies, Metro Transit routes, and park-n-ride locations that match their needs and preferences.
With over 70% of Dane County commuters driving alone to work pre-pandemic, RoundTrip’s mission is to connect individuals, businesses, and organizations in the Madison region with convenient alternatives to driving alone. RoundTrip is managed by the Greater Madison MPO in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Rideshare Etc. program. The program offers online commute matching, commuter incentives, outreach, education, and technical assistance for employers.
