Public Health Madison & Dane County announced the issuing of Face Covering Emergency Order No. 2 which is set to begin Friday, Sept. 10. The new order extends the current order requiring everyone age 2 and older to wear a face-covering or mask when in any enclosed building where other people, except for members of the person’s household or living unit, could be present. The new order makes exceptions for people playing a wind instrument that has a fabric bell cover, or similar cover, and presenting or performing a religious, political, media, educational, artistic, cultural, musical, or theatrical presentation as long as other spacing and vaccination requirements are met. The new order will remain in effect until Oct. 8, 2021, at 12:01 a.m.
